Daryl is a 1984 graduate of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. After graduation, he moved back to his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and began a litigation practice with partner Dicken Kidwell. Daryl's practice was concentrated in the domestic relations/divorce arena for approximately forty years. He dedicated his practice to highly contested divorce matters, including significant asset valuation and distribution cases. Further, a large portion of his practice involved complicated custody disputes.
In 2022, Daryl sold his office building and began a mediation practice as he prepared for retirement. In March 2024, Daryl accepted the position and status of counsel with McCarter East, PLC in Murfreesboro, TN. He remains presently in this position, adding input and supervision with current domestic and civil cases being handled within the Firm. He further maintains his mediation practice.
